CRM evaluation
An assessment of customer relationship management options against the company’s sales processes and data requirements.
When this is useful
A CRM needs to support the way opportunities, relationships and responsibilities are managed. A feature list alone does not show how well those processes will work.
My contribution
I define the relevant requirements and compare suitable CRM options through concrete workflows, data needs and operating constraints.

Two fictional CRM options are compared through six required scenarios and consistent three-year cost components. A fails a history requirement; B remains conditional on an unfinished merge test.
What it covers
- Workflows, users and essential requirements
- Integration and migration needs
- Product comparisons and evaluation evidence
- Costs, constraints and recommendation
The output
A CRM recommendation with the evidence, costs and remaining questions needed for a selection decision.
For an enquiry, describe the question and the systems involved.
