Event model
A specification of the events recorded by the systems in scope.
When this is useful
The same action may be recorded differently by a website, application and business system. Those differences affect how the records can be used together.
My contribution
I define the events and their fields with the people who produce and use the data, and identify where existing records need to change.

An order-paid event schema and valid example define required fields and minor currency units while preserving the meaning of historical version-one values.
What it covers
- Event names and definitions
- Properties, formats and required values
- Identity keys carried on each event
- Sources and destinations
- Rules for adding or changing an event, including its history
The output
An event specification with definitions, example records and change rules.
For an enquiry, describe the question and the systems involved.
